Not All Roof Gutter Guards are Created Equal

Some new homeowners never give a thought to the state of their gutters. After all, gutters already come with a house, and most people assume they’re only there to divert rainwater and get clogged with leaves and debris. A few people might install gutter guards, but, for the most part, helpful advancements in gutter guard and gutter technology simply haven’t reached most homeowners. As a result, people expect mediocrity from the flimsy, hastily put-together gutter guards on most houses today. They accept as inevitable that their gutters will clog with leaves and dirt; that the baked-on enamel finish will cook off in the sun, allowing the dirt and debris to form a permanent crust; that it will be an unsightly blight on the house’s appearance; and that, eventually, they will need replacing.

It doesn’t have to be this way. Gutter Roof gutter guards have been around since 1993, and they’re still finding ways to improve their technology. They employ the metal domed system, which is widely regarded to be the best for leaves and organic debris. It’s pretty simple, actually: during wind and rain, debris falls onto the cover, while the water drips down to the trough system. Exposed to the elements – rather than clogging your gutters – the debris gets blown or washed off. A Gutter Roof gutter guard keeps the leaves out and the water diverted.

Gutter Roof gutter guards also use better quality aluminum than their competitors. The .019 gauge aluminum used in most gutter systems can barely support the panels, let alone a trough system filled to the brim with water, leaves and dirt. Gutter Roof’s decision to use .025 aluminum alloy guards against even the remote chance that your gutters will get bogged down with debris.

Aesthetics also make a difference. A common complaint about common roof gutters is that they’re an absolute eyesore. Perhaps the first year isn’t so bad, but once the first storm hits and your paint is all worn away by the pounding rain and debris, you’ll be singing a different tune – or writing another check for a roofer to come install a new gutter. Gutter Roof gutter guards use actual roofing granules in its design, so the roof blends seamlessly with the gutter. Furthermore, the roofing granules are designed to weather the storm, so you won’t have to replace your gutter guards after every rainy season.
